COMMUNION:

People are welcomed to receive communion in both kinds following the Archbishops’ advice, or continue of they wish intincturing their wafers.

Bishop’s Lent Appeal:

Information about this year’s appeal helping projects in the diocese and overseas is to be found at the back of church.

Bishop Gordon’s Farewell:

A Farewell Service for Bishop Gordon will be held at Stoke Minster on Saturday 22nd of May 2010 at 5.00pm. Contact Mark if you would like to go asap.

Holy Week services & Themes:

There is a flyer at the back of church giving full details about services taking place during the week of the 28th of March. Signing up sheets are also there re the Seder Meal and the Walk of Witness.

Easter Flowers & Church Cleaning:

Saturday 3 April, from 9am cleaning and decorating the church for Easter. Donations for flowers to be given to Mark, Helen, Jim or Norman.

 

 

 

 

 

Are you interested in standing for the PCC?

There are a few positions vacant as people only serve a set time and so some people have finished their term of office. You will need a proposer and seconded (who must be on the electoral roll – copy at the back of church). Please pick up a form, complete and give to Mark. (For information a paper outlining PCC membership is there as well for people to take away and read)


Next Friends Concert:

Sat 27 March at 7:30pm. John Moore Quire - West Gallery Music. Come along and support the Friends.


Lent Course:

We would really love to see more people take part in our ecumenical house groups for Lent this year. We have now sorted the folks into preferred slots and so a new notice appears at the back of church giving details of when the groups are meeting and where. Please sign up by the group you can make!

Love Life, Live Lent: Actions this week

  • Monday – Kids: lend a book or a CD/ DVD & Adults: Offer to babysit
  • Tuesday – Kids & Adults: Plant some seeds where the flowers will be seen
  • Wednesday – Kids: show an adult how to do something they can’t do; Adults: give blood.
  • Thursday – Kids: find out about children in a developing country; Adults: read the international section of a newspaper
  • Friday –Kids: have a conversation with an older person; Adults: Buy something in season in a local shop.
  • Saturday – Kids & adults: say a prayer for someone who is unwell

Gnosall Carnival:

Box at the back for toys (all sorts!) for the Carnival’s stall please!

our own Youth Service:  

For youngsters who go to Youth Church, on the first Sunday of the month 8pm in the Lady Chapel. Music, chat and an opportunity to relax!

That up until July Mark will not be available every WEDNESDAY until 3:30pm. From 9am every Wednesday of each week he will be based at Moreton.

St .Paul’s Ecumenical Study Day:

April 17th in the Chapel. A day to explore the writings of St Paul and as well to reflect together about what St Paul might be saying to us here in Gnosall. We are very pleased to have Bishop Gordon to lead us in this day!!! Signing up sheet at the back of church.
