Bringing up children is fun and rewarding - but it isn't always easy. The challenges of parenthood are many, and sometimes, being a parent can feel like the hardest and the loneliest job in the world.

There are plenty of books available to help you learn about being a parent, but it's also helpful to talk to others in the same situation. That's why St Lawrence Church is running an informal parenting course, called Parentplay where you can meet other parents and together learn more about how to bring up confident and happy children.

Parent play provides an opportunity for parents to get together in a supportive environment and talk about the joys and challenges of bringing up their children. Away from the hurly burly of home life, parents can meet other parents or carers, make new friends, share ideas and have some fun!
