St Lawrence Church School Ministry team supporting, praying for, and working with St. Lawrence School

In 2009 the School Ministry Team seeks to

1. Provide kids@ essence after school club
2. Strengthen the work of the Sanctuary
3. Support and develop the governor representation from the church
4. Develop the weekly assemblies
5. Continue the prayer corner
6. Develop the leaver’s workshop and service
7. Develop the school/ church services at Easter, Christmas & Harvest
8. Invite the school choir to various church events/ services
9. Create a Church school trust fund
10. Undertake a weekly prayer link
11. Develop an Education Sunday service
12. Put together a young person’s guide to St. Lawrence Church appropriate for those different year groups with involvement from Year 2/ 4 & 6 pupils
13. Link the church’s website with the school’s website
14. Put on an outdoor service to be held in the school grounds reflecting Creation
15. Support the RE Co-ordinator
16. Support drop in sessions in the sanctuary for both staff and pupils
17. Explore ways of maintaining links with children in their move to secondary school
