Mission Statement
To maintain and improve the church building of St. Lawrence so as
to enable it to be fit for purpose as to carry forward the mission
of the church in its ministry of proclaiming the Gospel of Christ
At the moment the Fabric Ministry Team does the following!
- Take all appropriate action with necessary work that falls
on a monthly basis
- Undertake all necessary quinquennial work as agreed
- Consider appropriate action concerning protection of lead on
the church roof
- Seek to assist the PCC with an upgrade to the church’s lighting
- Seek to assist the PCC with a new display area at the back
of church
- Make available to the Priest in Charge former plans concerning
the transformation of the Lady Chapel
- Consider the request about changes to the area within the Lady
Chapel concerning electrical equipment
- Assist the Friends with their proposed display area in the
South Porch
- Continue to liaise as appropriate with regard to overhanging
trees and greenery around the church grounds
- To establish a small jobs maintenance team to undertake all
such minor work which does not require PCC approval, only information
