Children’s & Young People’s Ministry Team

Mission Statement
To work joyfully with children and young people so as to encourage and facilitate their emotional, physical and spiritual growth as Christians in a safe and stimulating church community within which they may be valued for who they are and be enabled to grow in a loving relationship with Jesus
At the moment the Children’s & Young People’s Ministry Team does the following!

1. Has a Junior Church that meets at 10:30am
2. Has a Youth Church that meets at the same time
3. This year is having a Pancake Praise Party to kick off Lent
4. Is having worship, crafts, teaching and fun on Good Friday
5. Is running a Holiday Club in August
6. Is running a Bright and Light party as an alternative to Halloween
7. Has just appointed a new CRB Co-ordinator
8. Is running a Kids@essence weekly club at the school
9. Runs a yearly Junior confirmation group

House group Ministry Team

Mission Statement
To build up the Body of Christ at St. Lawrence by house groups based on welcome, witness, word and worship
At the moment the House Group Ministry Team does the following!

1. For the team to plant house groups within the four areas of the village during this year
2. For the team to train up hosts and leaders to run the house groups
3. For the team to create programmes of study and to give ideas for fellowship and worship for each house group to undertake
4. For the team to set up an annual event (meeting/ service) to bring all leaders and hosts together to pray, discuss and discern ways to grow as the Body of Christ

Ministry Support Team

Mission Statement: To encourage all members of the fellowship to reflect and develop the ministry that God has given them and to offer particular support to those considering and preparing for ministry in the parish or elsewhere
At the moment the Ministry Support Team does the following!

1. Is seeking to develop an annual celebration of ministry service whereby all who have taken on new gifts or developed existing ones can be encouraged and prayed for
2. To set up a training workshop for those leading intercessions in the life of the church
3. To set up a training workshop for those reading in the life of the church
4. To help train up new Eucharistic Ministers in the life of the church
5. To set up clear lines of communication with diocesan bodies to publicise training courses on offer elsewhere
