Outreach Ministry Team

Mission Statement:
To use both the opportunities that comes to the church through baptism and weddings and to be committed in seeking opportunities within the parish that will make Christ known and bring people into a living relationship with Jesus as Lord. At the moment the Outreach Ministry Team does the following!

1. To have established a fully developed baptism preparation and follow up programme
2. To have established a fully developed marriage preparation and follow up programme
3. To begin to put together literature that would serve as useful in enabling people to think about the Christian faith and what the faith has to say to a wide range of issues
4. To plan an ecumenical walk of witness on Good Friday
5. To consider outdoor services – pet service, marquee service
6. To explore putting on a parenting course
7. To explore a Just Looking – enquirers course
8. To develop the mission and nurture possibilities of Back to Church Sunday
9. To explore outreach to senior citizens – silver service/ afternoon tea/ bingo/ dance
10. To explore the possibility of church plants

Fellowship Ministry Team

Mission Statement
To enable all the members of St Lawrence to get to know one another in informal settings and to offer events that both develop the fellowship of the church and draw people from the village into the church’s life
At the moment the Fellowship Team does the following!

1. Arranges a social programme
2. Arranges two fundraising events
3. Arranges all refreshments for all appropriate church services and events

St. Lawrence School Ministry Team

Mission Statement
In supporting, praying for, working with St. Lawrence School, the church seeks to enable a living experience of Jesus to be known by both staff and pupils of the school
At the moment the School Ministry Team does the following!

1. Strengthen Essence
2. Strengthen the Sanctuary
3. Support and develop the governor representation from the church
4. Develop the weekly assemblies
5. Continue the prayer corner
6. Develop the leaver’s workshop and service
7. Develop the school/ church services at Easter, Christmas & Harvest
8. To bring in the school choir at church events/ services
9. Create a Church school trust fund
10. Undertake a weekly prayer link
11. Develop an Education Sunday service
12. Year 2/ 4 & 6 involvement in putting together a young person’s guide to St. Lawrence appropriate for those year groups
13. To link the church’s website with the school’s website
14. An annual outdoor service reflecting Creation
15. To support the RE Co-ordinator
16. To support drop in sessions in the sanctuary for both staff and pupils
17. To explore ways of maintaining links with children in their move to secondary school
18. To make links with our preschool and nursery schools
19. To take part in the open evening for new prospective parents to the school building on our link with them through our link with the school
20. To liaise with the school about putting on a welcome service for new children to the school at the church
