Pastoral Care Ministry Team

Mission Statement:
To encourage a pastoral ministry offering practical, spiritual and emotional care to all ages and at all stages of life both in the church and parish as a declaration of fellowship and friendship and as a commitment to Jesus’ command to love one another. At the moment the Pastoral Care Ministry Team does the following!

1. Runs two Open Doors Coffee Mornings on the same Saturday once a month at both ends of the village
2. Runs a yearly Living with Loss course for those people facing bereavement
3. Visits for up to a year afterwards if needed those people who are bereaved
4. Helps to lead both the quarterly memorial services and the All Soul’s service
5. Has a monthly meeting – and four times in the year have invited speakers. In 09 the speakers are addressing the group on dementia; Alzheimer’s; rural stress and those who have limited sight
6. The group have put together a leaflet about the Pastoral Ministry Care Team for wider distribution
7. Group members operate amongst themselves a general visiting list of people ‘in need’
8. The group sends a prayer card to all those the fellowship prays for each month who are on our sick list
9. The group provides welcomers for the 10:30am service to welcome people as they come to worship
